Welcome to the Thornbury Camera Club website. We are a warm, friendly club which meets in the centre of town on Monday evenings for a varied programme of talks, exhibitions, competitions and other photographic activities.

Our members range in skill and experience from newcomers to photography to those who exhibit in international salons. Members have a wide range of interests including landscape, nature, travel, still life, sport, creative and documentary.

Main Programme

The club's main programme runs from September through to early June meeting in Turnberrie's Community Centre in Thornbury from 7:30 pm on Monday evenings.

There is also a summer programme of group visits to nearby locations, also usually on a Monday evening.

Competitions

The club runs it's own internal photography competition and participates in both regional and national competitions.

Our internal competition is consists of 2 leagues of 5 rounds, one for digital images and one for prints.

The club is a member of the Western Counties Photographic Federation (WCPF) also of the national Photographic Alliance of Great Britain(PAGB) and participates in their competitions.

Special Interest Groups

The club hosts a number of special interest groups organised by members.

Members of the 5 image group aimed to make a collection of images on some common subject or theme of the each individual member's choice.

The Contemporary Photography Group was created to encourage interest in non-traditional photographic styles.

The club hosts galleries of member's photographs which can be found on the member's galleries page.
