Thornbury Camera Club runs an internal league competition open to all club members each season. The competition has 6 rounds spread between September and June with separate sections for prints and digital projected images (DPIs).
There is a club meeting for each round at which images entered are shown and commented on by a judge.
The judge will also select some images to receive awards. Images that receive awards earn points that count towards the entrants’ league scores.
At the end of the season, a trophy is awarded to the entrant with the highest league score in each section.
Some of the rounds are themed which means that images entered are restricted, e.g. the subject of the image should be water or the image should be in a minimalist style.
Other rounds are open and any images that meet the general requirements for entry may be entered.
The dates for competition meetings, the competition themes and the closing dates for submitting images are shown above. This information is also in the club programme.
